Good price but a bit flaky

I was looking for a black short (3ft) iPhone/USB cable to keep my phone connected to my car stereo and this kit was in stock, reasonably priced, and available for Prime shipping so I bought it. Turns out it's really handy having the extra charging cube and 6ft cable to keep at the office -- but either the 6ft cable or the cube is a bit flaky, only charging once every 3-4 attempts.
