Well several earlier reviewers are correct. The cable does *and* does NOT work with iPad... or anything.

I purchased the two cable set. One of the two cables worked. One didn't. Simply defective.

<UPDATE> Amazon wouldn't help me... they said I had to return both cables for a refund (which is probably worth less than the postage it would take to ship them back from Hawaii).

HOWEVER, I contacted the seller directly and they were immediately super helpful, and within 3 days (amazing by Hawaii standards), I had a replacement cable that works perfectly. So for that, FIVE STARS. Now THAT is service!

And yes, both cables charge my iPad2 from the iPad USB charger.
