clicky and hissy

I bought this from another retailer, because I wanted to be able to try it and return it if it didn't work. That was a good idea on my part. This adapter clicks and hisses, even when the cassette player volume is down. I get that these types of products are becoming less of a priority to manufacturers, but why even bother making it if you won't do it right? It is a simple mechanism and need not be changed, once a solid, working model is created. I am still looking for a good one. The Monster cassette adapter was just as noisy and was more expensive.
